The political coverage of public affairs media giant, C-SPAN, recently reached two ¼öʬapp schools as part of the āRoad to the White Houseā tour. C-SPANās Campaign 2012 Bus stopped by Fulmore Middle School and Travis High School and showcased to students the different ways C-SPAN is distributing its content to the public.
The bus travels the country to promote C-SPANās extensive resources and coverage, such as major political events, candidate debates, speeches in early primary states and meeting with voters on the campaign trail.
Additionally, it also tours state capitals, visits community events, and hosts students and teachers around the nation, giving them an inside look at C-SPANās comprehensive educational and political resources.
Students learned about the channelās in-depth public affairs event coverage, their web offerings, and archived video dating back numerous decades, via HD TVs, touch screen computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
This event was a partnership with Time Warner Cable as C-SPAN promotes their annual video documentary competition for middle school and high school students, StudentCam. Itās through this competition that C-SPAN encourages students to bring the U.S. Constitution to life by competing in the video contest. This yearās StudentCam theme is: āThe Constitution and You: Select any provision of the U.S. Constitution and create a video illustrating why itās important to you.ā
