The 熱えapp Board of Trustees approved new principal appointments for Bryker Woods and Uphaus Early Childhood Center and Covington and Fulmore middle schools at its June 18 meeting.
Bryker Woods Elementary School
The board appointed Kristina Muehling to serve as principal of Bryker Woods Elementary School.
Muehling most recently served as assistant principal of Lee Elementary School, a position she has held since 2015. She is a former elementary school teacher in AISD and has been an educator in the district since 2008.
She has a bachelor's degree in special education from Purdue University and a master's degree in education administration from Concordia University.
Uphaus Early Childhood Center
The board appointed Claudia Santamaria to serve as principal of Uphaus Early Childhood Center.
Santamaria most recently served as assistant director of elementary bilingual education in 熱えapp, a position she has held since 2015. She is a former bilingual teacher in AISD and supervised parent programs in the district for more than eight years.
She has a bachelor's degree in education from St. Edward's University and a master's degree in education administration from Texas A&M Tarleton State. Santamaria is currently working to complete a doctoral program in school improvement at Texas State University.
Covington Middle School
The board appointed Tai Choice to serve as principal of Covington Middle School.
Choice most recently served the academy director at Crockett Early College High School. She previously worked as a spanish teacher in AISD and was an assistant principal at Crockett for four years.
Choice has a bachelor's degree in spanish education from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in education administration from Concordia University.
Fulmore Middle School
The Board appointed Stacie Holiday to serve as principal of Fulmore Middle School.
Holiday most recently served as the academy director for credit recovery and dropout prevention in 熱えapp. She previously served as summer school principal at Burnet, Covington and Martin middle school and has been an educator with AISD since 2005.
Holiday has a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University and a master's degree in education administration from Concordia University.
